Vitamin D has anti-inflammatory properties so be sure you are getting enough of it to help cure your swollen gums. In fact, according to the National Institutes of Health, higher blood levels of vitamin D seemed to be reducing the risk of having gum problems in people that aged 50 or older.
9. Brush your teeth with baking soda
With its power to neutralize the acids in your mouth, baking soda is a great tool in reducing gum diseases.
10. Stop using tobacco or cigarettes
Cigarette smokers are most likely to develop gum disease because of the cigarettes component that is harmful for the skin tissues.
