Remove The Smell Of Burnt Food At Home
Burning a food while cooking sometimes happen at home and it really leaves an annoying smell. Here are some ways you can get rid of that bothersome smell.
1. Clean the area
Throw away the burnt food and put it inside a plastic bag to prevent the smell from spreading. Take the plastic bag outside the house.
2. Open all windows and turn on the fans
This helps in proper circulation of air inside the house which makes it the easiest and quickest way to get rid of the bad smell.
3. Clean every surface
Wash down the entire surface with wet sponge or mop to remove the smell that sticks to it.
4. Make lemon water
Boil water and lemon in a pot and let it sit for 10-30 minutes to freshen up the house. You may also try putting hot cloves in the water instead of lemon slices.
5. Put onions in water
Slice one onion and put it on a bowl of water. Put the bowl in the kitchen.
6. Soak bread in vinegar
Fill a saucepan with water and add at least 2 cups of vinegar. Allow it to simmer for 15 minutes and then put some bread on top of it to absorb the solution. Put the bread on a plate and let it absorb the bad smell.
7. Combine water and baking soda
This is known to be effective in absorbing bad odors. Put this solution in a bowls and distribute them all over the house.
8. Spray lemon water or essential oil
Place lemon water or essential oil of your choice into a spritzer then spray it all over the house.
9. Make an air freshener with perfume
Combine 2 ½ table spoons of brandy, 20 drops of any perfume that is oil based 5 drops of tea tree oil and ¾ cup of water. Put this in a spray bottle and shake it well before spraying all over the house.
10. Use aerosols
Some aerosols have a hard smell, if you can tolerate their smell you can just purchase in any grocery store near your place. Use them carefully as advised because they can be overwhelming.
