Do-it-yourself Hair Removal Cream

Do-it-yourself Hair Removal Cream

Having wax appointment at the waxing salon is a good way to pamper yourself but sometimes it such a hassle to do because of the time you have to spent in travelling and waiting in line for your turn. We have some great news for you! We will be sharing some ingredients you can mix together to create the hair removal cream.

Here are the easy steps you can follow:

1. Melt the sugar

Cook sugar in a heated saucepan until it is caramelized.

2. Mix honey and lemon juice

Create this mixture with 1:1 portion and pour it in the caramelized sugar. If the mixture is too thick, you can add 1 tablespoon water at a time until you have the right consistency.

3. Let the wax cool

Test the temperature of the wax before applying in on your skin. You can store the excess in the refrigerator for future use.

4. Check the length of the hair you want to remove

The hair should be between 1/8 inch and ΒΌ inch long. If it is too short, the wax might not pull it out from the roots and if it is too long, you may experience a little bit of discomfort.

5. Cut strips of fabric

This will be used for pulling the hair using the wax.

6. Apply baby powder before wax application.

This will absorb the body oil allowing the wax to stick on your hair and not on your skin making it less painful.

7. Slowly apply the wax

Use wooden spoon or spatula in application of the wax to your skin.

8. Put the fabric on top of the wax

After putting the fabric on top the wax, slowly rub it in upward motion. In this way you are conditioning the hair to be removed easily.

9. Leave the wax for a while

If you have applied it while it is still warm, leave it until it is cool, if not try to pull the edge of the fabric if the wax sticks well.

10. Remove the fabric strip

Pull the fabric strip in an upward motion or against the direction of your hair growth. Do not pull it off at 90 degree instead pull it in a shallower angle.
